What is a Value Priced Print?

Our most economical, fast and easy way to get true black & white or museum quality color inkjet print. Simply click on the ROES download button on the right side of this page. Once you have the ROES application loaded on your computer, open the application called "DSI Direct 2 Print" and you are ready to go. You save money because our technicians don't have to inspect, crop or resize your order. The ROES application also provides the user with a number of convenient features such as cropping guides, real sepia toning, matting and framing options, all at a discount..


Black & White Silver Gelatin Prints

Inkjet Paper Choices

  • Hahnemühle Photo Pearl 310 gsm - A finely structured polyethylene-coated paper with a scratch and fingerprint resistant pearlescent surface. An excellent choice for prints with a broad color space, high detail, and rich blacks.
  • Epson Enhanced Matte – Flat matte paper with a bright white base. Longtime photo standard.
  • Hahnemühle Photo Silk Baryta 310 gsm - Silk gloss baryta paper with a unique barium sulphate coating with the look of traditional silver halide photo papers. This white base, acid-free, 100% a-cellulose paper is a great fine art paper with excellent detail and color rendering capabilities.
  • Hahnemühle Photo Rag 188 gsm – 100% Cotton, smooth matte fine art paper. Renders exquisite detail on a neutral white base, a very popular choice among fine art photographers.

To start using ROES (DSI Direct 2 Print) we suggest that you first process your images using a calibrated monitor. For best results we recommend an RGB JPEG, 100% size at 300ppi. We have had excellent results from clients using Macphun Tonality Pro as well as Nik Silver Efex for black & white conversions

After downloading the application from the box on the right:
You need the latest version of Java installed in order for the ROES application to launch

  • Go to the ROES (DSI Direct 2 Print) application
  • Select start ordering from the menu.
  • Click add folder button on the bottom right.
